Spiral Flute Chucking Reamers – For Precision and Performance

Material: HSS
Standrad size: 1.5-20mm, For customization of other sizes and materials, please contact our technicians.

Galip Spiral flute reamers offer superior guidance during fine reaming, making them ideal for deep holes—typically more than three times the reamer diameter. Their design improves chip evacuation, reduces vibration, and ensures smoother cutting, especially in tough materials like stainless steel and various alloys. The result is cleaner, more accurate hole walls, with minimal chatter.

Cutting Direction:

Left-hand spiral is common in the market and best for through-holes—directing chips downward and producing a cleaner finish.

Right-hand spiral reamers evacuate chips upward, making them better for blind holes. However, left-hand spirals often produce smoother hole walls, especially in tougher materials.

Chucking reamers are built for precision reaming and are suitable for a wide range of materials. They’re compatible with various equipment, including screw machines, turret lathes, drill presses, and CNC machining centers.

Each reamer features a 45° chamfer for smooth entry and clean results.

Straight-flute design is recommended for most general-purpose reaming, suitable for shallow holes with low cutting allowance and high accuracy requirements.

Spiral-flute is recommended for tougher materials, better surface requirements, and applications with an interruption such as a keyway or cross hole.
